There is the option to keep it on top but that presents its own issues.
#Download free calendar for mac windows
One thing I would like that it doesn’t do, is to bring the desktop calendar to the front above other windows when it is clicked on or hovered over, as is it just sits on the background and I have to minimize other windows to see it. I like that it can be displayed on the desktop. It's a nice little app, the graphics are light and subtle which is nice, rather something bold a glaring. Thanks so much again for a GREAT lil’ App!!! Plus, really I do not need to see the Month. Date & Time and Mini Calendar, but the the “target / clickable’ area is a much smaller area than if Mini Calendar would display it all. So again I realize a person could get pretty close if using a combination of System Preferences. So that the date would be in the cool lil’ ‘Calendar Icon’ like Mon 1:09 PM Date. Now I’ve only got one thing I’d still love to see changed.Ī) This is purely a personal ticky tack thing…but it would nice if three (3) Options could be selected at the same time ‘Calendar Icon’, 'Digital Clock > Display Date and Time’ and also chehck the ’Show the day of the week'. So now that the Sunrise and Sunset item is all super cool now with a regular 12 hour AM/PM clock… This is exactly what I was looking for to replace my old and aging, but beloved MenuCalendarClock from the old Objectpark folks (old 2012 app that had started to get slower and slower, spinning Beach Ball since El Capitan). I also love the few features that make it really practical, too (like the ability to jump forwards or backwards years or months at a time with having to hit Forward and Backward buttons like an Atari Game Console Fire button)! -)

#Download free calendar for mac trial
If you're new to Fantastical, there is a trial to test it out to see if you like it before deciding on a subscription. Thanks so much for a VERY nice super simple Menu Calendar. While Fantastical does have a subscription model now, previous users of Fantastical 2 get most of the features unlocked, so it's still very functional. The natural language input is also top-notch, as the app easily understands and fills out all of the appropriate fields while you type out something as simple as "Have lunch with Mom at In-N-Out on Tuesday at 2 p.m."

For example, you can have work calendars viewable while you're at work, but personal ones when you're at home. If you are running multiple calendars at once, things can get gnarly - Fantastical lets you customize sets of calendars to view at once, and they can even be location-based, so things don't get too crazy when viewing.

You can customize your views for daily, weekly, monthly, and even yearly, and your agenda of events appear in the sidebar as well. With Fantastical, you are getting a fully functional desktop app that also has a menubar version for quick access.
